Introducing the "Eggless Chicken" Song: An Anthem for the Burnt Out & Overqualified

Have you ever felt like you’re constantly crossing the road, but you have absolutely no idea why?

We live in a culture obsessed with "the grind." We are constantly asked about our goals, our output, and our "five-year plan." It’s exhausting. If you have ever felt the weight of the world’s expectations on your "skinny little wings," my brand new track is meant specifically for you.

I’m thrilled to introduce my latest release: the "Eggless Chicken" song.

It’s a quirky, folk-infused track that doubles as an accidental anti-hustle anthem for anyone who is tired of chasing an imaginary carrot (or in this case, feed bag).

The "Productivity Trap" and Why I Wrote This Song

The idea for "Eggless Chicken" came from a feeling of sheer burnout. I was looking around at this "farm of expectations" we all live in, watching everyone obsessed with their own productivity.

The central metaphor is simple but absurd: Imagine a chicken whose entire societal value is based on laying eggs. Now imagine that chicken just... decides not to.

The chicken in the song is still busy. It has "two legs and a restless heart." But it rejects the farmer’s lectures about "value" and "return."

I wanted to write a funny existential song that actually addresses a serious feeling. The feeling that if we aren't constantly producing something tangible, we are failing. This song is a permission slip to stop feeling that way.

Redefining Worth (Cracking Old Traditions)

We often tie our self-worth to what we produce—the "dozen in a carton." But what happens when you step off that treadmill?

As the lyrics say:

“I’m retired from laying futures / I just specialize in being”

This track is about embracing the idea that you don't need a grand, capitalized "Purpose" to justify taking up space. Sometimes, just waking up, pecking at your breakfast, and existing is enough of an achievement.

My favorite part of the song is the bridge, which questions the very definition of success: “What if worth / Is not a dozen in a carton? / What if birth / Is waking up and choosing ‘pardon’?”

It’s about forgiving yourself for not being a machine.

Are You an Eggless Chicken Too?

If you feel like an "overqualified" contradiction who is tired of the hustle and just wants to dance in your current position, give this song a listen.

It might not solve your existential crisis, but it will hopefully make you tap your feet while you have it.
